Chairman Ryan Gets Roughly Two-Thirds of His Huge Budget Cuts From Programs for Lower-Income Americans — Center on Budget and Policy Priorities.

I’ll give Chairman Ryan credit as Chairman of the House Budget Committee. For having the guts to take on Entitlement Reform and Tax Reform. But the way he does it with essentially turning Medicare and Medicaid into Voucher Programs. Forcing people on these programs to buy Private Insurance, giving them less choice in Health Insurance. Is the wrong approach, we need more Freedom of Choice in Health Care in America, not less. And telling people on Medicare and Medicaid who are qualified for those Health Insurance programs that they have to purchase private Health Insurance, is the wrong approach. We need to reform those programs and giving people more Freedom of Choice in those programs is the right way to go. Not forcing them to take something else.

I like Rep. Ryan’s approach to Tax Reform especially with Corporate Taxes. Eliminating most if not all loopholes in the Tax Code is the way to go. As well as eliminating Corporate Welfare as well. I would go farther by eliminating all subsidy’s for Oil Company’s as a way to pay down the Federal Budget Deficit and Debt. In exchange for cutting our Corporate and overall Tax Rates. So we don’t increase taxes instead, especially on Middle Class workers.

I give Rep. Ryan credit for having the guts to take on these controversial issues. But his approach with Medicare and Medicaid is the wrong way to do it.
