The best cure for poverty in America is education and job training for low-income and low-skilled workers in America. That leads to good jobs wages and benefits and then we would be able to see what people will be able to do for themselves. Rather than telling people who are doing very well that they simply make too much money. So what we are going to do is take a chunk of what they’re making and give that money to the poor to take care of them. And leave low-income low-skilled workers dependent on government to take care of them. We do not have so many people who are poor in America because our government is too small. If you got a four-trillion dollar budget and you have roughly one out of five Americans who live in poverty, than a lot of that has to do with how you are spending a lot of those dollars. It also has to do with the fact that you have so many Americans without the skills to be successful in America. But you invest better in human capital and you get better results with more people with the skills to be successful and live independently on their own.
