I would love to see a national poll as far as everyone when it comes to political identity as well as party. Or if they are independent across the country as far as the popularity of what is the Affordable Care Act. Whatever you think of the Democratic healthcare reform bill, it is and the official name of it is the Affordable Care Act. Not ObamaCare which is a Tea Party term to label Barack Obama healthcare reform. And then compare this poll with a poll about what is called ObamaCare which is the exact same legislation just with different names.
I bet you the ACA is a hell of a lot popular with people who actually understand the bill and know. What is in it and are now even benefiting from it compared with people who view the Affordable Care Act as ObamaCare. And people who view anything associated with Barack Obama as automatically being bad. Even if they were once for it before they were against it to use a line from John Kerry’s 2004 presidential campaign.
We should have a poll like this and ask the people in it. Are you in favor of the tax credit for people who are not poor enough for Medicaid but not old enough for Medicare. Who are still working to help them and their employer purchase health insurance. So you no longer have to pay for their healthcare at the emergency room which is more expensive?
Are you in favor of the individual mandate that requires everyone to pay their fair share for their healthcare. Rather than being able to pass those costs on to people who already have health insurance?
Are you in favor of prohibiting health insurers from denying people health insurance because they have a pre-existing-condition?
Are you in favor of prohibiting health insurers from cutting people off from their health insurance because they actually need healthcare. Instead of allowing health insurers to cut people off because they simply need the health insurance that they paid for?
Are you in favor of prohibiting health insurers from cutting people off from their health insurance. Because they reached some lifetime cap put into place by their health insurer. Even if they can still pay for their costs of their health insurance?
All of these questions or things that could asked of people are all in the Affordable Care Act. The tax credit, as well as health exchanges that I didn’t mention where people can compare different health insurers and prices on-line. As well as the prohibitions and regulations are all in the Affordable Care Act. If I had to guess all of these things are probably pretty popular with the country as a whole. It is just perhaps Libertarians and Economic-Libertarians and backers of the health insurance companies. That want the old health insurance system because they benefited most from it. And it us just a matter of what this healthcare reform bill is called by people who understand it.
